still on quilt show
At one as agreed my daughter ad I met at thee front door got our arm stamped {branded{ to make sure we could get in again and off we went to a lounge accross the road from the rds called madigans hore show louge and ordered our dinner and rested ourselfs for a little whil Apparently alexis bought herself some scarfs and enjoyed looking at all the stalls and she even made it up to the displays in the balconies which I never. Anyway off we go agoin cross the road ad i nto the show. there was so many quilting stalls there and a stall were you bought a kit to ake your very own unique to you handbag I was tempted but haveing blown the budget by this time I didnt indulge myself. but I got akl the detials and so in future I might. The show was packed I met the crowd from the Irish quilting magazine and signed up for a subscripton and got it at acheaper price plus a free gift { fat qrts} and did you get a piece of bithday cake I will really be going again next yr as it was so good. I had y camera with me but I was so busy looking that I forgot to take any pictures so all took was one of all the things bought when ame home will post it here shortly. Now next week m off the the nec in birmingham to the iternational cake decorating show and the hobbycraft show . will definatly take the camera with me again but as my husband said a camera and also mobile phone to me might ber as usfull a lump of turf in my handbag Alexis is travelling with me again but only to dub as she and her friends are offf th a concert in the o2.
knitting and stitching show rds dublin
well what can I say what a joyful day I had on thursday last at the stitching show it was fabWe travelled { that is myself and 15 yr old daughter alexis} on wed from derry to dublin by bus I slept most of the way ad alexis chatted and txted her pals most of the journey. Ariving in dub the 1st thing alexis wants to do is shop for clothers so there I am trailing behind her in and out of shops where the music would blow your head off and has definatly killed off any of the few precious brain cells that I had left. Her shopping done at 7 we headed to meet my son Eamon for dinner in the crown plaza in santra we all had a lovely meal walked up the street to esamons appartment and we both fell into bexd early as we had to be up again early next day for the show and oh not forgetting alexis was going to have another look fr jeans today again.Next morning up we get spent i hr looking for the elhusive jeans that never did aterialize finally jump on the no 7 from grafton st and off we go to the show, Alexis decides to do the rounds on her ow so we part ad agre to eet up at 1 for lunch. Well the show was relly good this yr it ahad all I expected and even more I got a few cross st kits. some wool. knitting needles {baamboo} and some quilting books and fat qrts ad bautiful quilt kit with flanel as backig cant wait to start it

finally got the hang of it here is some of the cakes ive made and also a small amount of quilts As its friday night im going to take it easy for the weekend and I am looking forward to reading a woman of substance the 30th edition so enjoy your weekend everyone and ill chat to all again on mon
show tickets
just after getting my tickets for the stitching show in dublin ad the hobbycraft and cake international in birmingham so I cant wait love to go these shows so much to see and take in I get loads of ideas and cant wait to try them all out as you see I still havent managed to put any photos up but I will It is abeautiful day here in donegal sun beaming of the rocks and quite warm hey I think I got a suntan when haning out the wash in the garden made my 1st ever microvave cake last night once I covered it in fondant and decorated it looked perfect and yes It actually tasted great It took 6 minits on high power looked pale when it came out but if your going to cover it in frosting what the heck it tastes fab going to try sa chocolate one today dont think the kids noticed it was a microwave cake they ate it any way. I must put pictures up of my christening shawl that is knitted in shetland lace and 4 ply wool im delighted the way it turned out.

back again
having been otherwise occupied lately i am finally back to give blogging another go.need to find out how to put pictures on this blog anyway have been oh so busy this yr what with daughter getting married and now a son is getting married next yr well its all go go go
